After living in our house for over three years now, you might be surprised to know I still haven't done much decorating. I don't know why, but I have struggled with making "permanent" decisions about decor.
Lately, however, I have been working on it and pushing myself to do little bits here and there. I would truly like to make our home welcoming, comfortable and inspiring to all who enter here.
Last week, I decided to hang up some vintage photographs that I had piled up in my studio. I simply taped them in place around a mirror by the front door. The pattern wasn't too planned out. I just eyed it as I went and tried to keep it balanced.
Each one tells a different story...and makes me wonder about the lives of the people here.
This simple "collage" on the wall has motivated me to go further with our home. Hopefully I will soon have the courage to put some nails in the wall to really get things going here :) Crazy to think the girl who couldn't resist putting a ton of holes in the wall in rentals, can't really bring herself to do it in her own home? Hmm.
Till next time...
