Rustic Bohemian Patio Makeover

Earlier this week, I shared the before and after of my porch and patio that I was able to get all spiffed up for fall. {Click here if you missed it and want to see the "Before" first} Today, I am sharing more details of the patio itself, that I decked out in rustic bohemian flair. I was kinda hating on this space before, but now I love it!

The old dresser in the center was a roadside find (literally about three houses down from us). It was in really rough shape and not something that I wanted to bring inside, so we put it here and then it got piled with junk.

Not now though! I cleaned that baby up and created a cute summer to fall vignette.
The patio chairs were found by my husband at work. The tree stumps turned "end tables" were found in our yard from trees that the previous owners cut down.

Can you tell we are big collectors of free things?
I recently bought the two fringe pillows at a thrift store (it was $5 bag sale day whoo hoo!), and my mother gave me the striped throw.
When we found it, the dresser was already painted this lovely shade of pale blue and the drawers with a dark stain. I love the contrast. I also love the chunky wood knobs.
A few knobs are missing on one side, so I hid it with a macrame owl. Nothing says "bohemian" like macrame!
Since my mom is antique dealer and seller on Etsy, she is always finding stuff that I love. She gave me two macrame owls that she picked up at a yard sale. I put the other one on the back screen door.
I have been growing my own green thumb and have gotten pretty good at keeping plants alive, so I had to include some. I love putting plants in every room now...especially cactus and succulents and any plant labeled as "tolerant." We get along very well :)
Remember my little Indian corn that I shared last week? I decided to put some in a bird's nest that I found in our yard over the summer.
I rescued all of the ceramic owls from my mother. She was going to sell them at a yard sale, can you believe that? Thankfully, she never minds when I go through all of her things taking what I want.
So there you have it! Our new bohemian sanctuary. I still have more plans for this space, like adding some canvas drop cloth curtains, hanging patio lights and hopefully finding a beaded shell wind chime to hang. I also need to get the other side of the patio cleaned up again, like I had it in the spring, and then it will really feel amazing out here. I hope you enjoyed this tour of our patio! Till next time...
