Oh, hello fall {free printable}

Fall is is pretty much here in my book (except for the extremely hot weather we are experiencing right now in Western New York), so, for me, it's time to start bringing the warmth and beauty of autumn all throughout my home. Today, I am excited to usher in fall with several other talented bloggers as we share decorating vignettes, along with free printables, for you to enjoy all season long!

I love, love, love this time of year. I really can't say it enough. So much beauty to behold and comforts that bring me back to the best memories of childhood: jumping in leaves, going to pick out pumpkins, selecting a Halloween costume, good food, family get-togethers, the scent in the air. There is pretty much nothing that I don't love about fall expect maybe that it is too short. It always seems to go by in a flash. Oh if I could just hold onto it for a bit longer.

Kids are the most creative beings on the planet. Always surprising us with their ideas, imaginative play, and the wonder they embrace as they navigate this world. Sometimes their creative ideas come at a cost though…a huge mess. Many times as a mom, it can be easier to say no to these activities. After all, we already have a bazillion messes to clean up, don't we? The dishes, the laundry, the toys strewn about. We can find ourselves eventually in a rut of saying no more often than we ever imagined we would. I know, because it has happened to me.

I used to imagine the kind of mom I would be. Always laid back and coming up with creative fun. Always willing to let them use their imaginations to do wild and crazy things. Then real life sets in. And you realize all of that is a lot of work.

Mother's Day is this weekend, so today, I wanted to share some last minute printable cards for you to give to the special mother figure in your life. Not that moms aren't worth heading out to a card store and spending hours perusing the aisles for that one perfect card. They TOTALLY are. And I actually used to do that myself. Pre-kids. Now, life is often crazy and I literally just realized it was May yesterday. Whoa. Where does the time go?

How can we manage to keep our self-worth and value in tact while subjecting ourselves to the possibility of rudeness and ridicule?

A painful Facebook experience that happened to me a couple of weeks ago, left me contemplating this blog and what I am doing here. Whether it is something I can continue for the long haul with social media the way that it is. An ugly cesspool of hurt people hurting people.

Spring Easter Bunny Free Printable – “Some Bunny Loves You”

Is spring ever coming? Some days it really doesn't feel like it around here, but that doesn't keep it off my mind! Today, I have a free printable that I made to celebrate Easter and start bringing bits of the season into our home. A few weeks ago, my children were drawing at the table, when I sketched a little bunny and wrote, "some bunny loves you" at the bottom. I shared this sketch on Instagram and people seemed to like it, so I decided to work with it a bit in Photoshop to make this printable.

I am pretty obsessed with digital art, and I love making these freebies for you. I could spend hours (no joke) looking through fonts and finding cool graphics to use in my designs. Vintage Inspired Hot Chocolate Station

If you recently came to take my holiday home tour, you would have seen the hot chocolate station I set up in the kitchen. If not, I am sharing the full details of it here today! I went with a vintage inspired theme and my whole family loves it. Although, I keep catching my kids stealing the marshmallows 🙂

This was the first year I set up a hot chocolate bar, but I think it will become a holiday tradition now.

I am back again this week with another free printable! If you came by yesterday, you would have seen that I am very much in the holiday spirit with my printable Christmas village. So, call me cheap, but I am always trying to think of inexpensive, diy projects for my husband for Father's Day. I mean, he has only been a dad for three years, so I am still "new" at figuring how to approach this holiday with him. He is seriously the hardest person to get gifts for. Last year, I completely cleaned and organized a section of our basement so that he could use it as a workbench for projects and what not. That was nice until it became a storage spot awhile later. Sigh.
