As promised, I am continuing to share more posts of my home decorated for fall. About a month ago, I revealed my fall home tour, but I wanted to share each space in individual posts throughout the rest of the season. Today, we are heading back into my living room for another look around at some of the details I didn't show previously. Hope you enjoy!

Easy Autumn Simmer Pot
Autumn is my favorite time of year, and I am already getting a bit sad that October is almost over. I love everything about this season including the glorious scents of fall, which is why I love bringing them into my home. Today, I have a super easy simmer pot method that will get your house smelling fabulous all November! Then you can just change it up a bit around Christmas time and keep the loveliness going all holiday season.
You will find recipes for these all over the internet and Pinterest. I have seen them for years now, and finally decided it was time to try it out for myself and sure enough…it worked like magic!

Fall Home Tour 2014
Welcome to my fall home tour! I have been anxiously awaiting this day for weeks (well months if I were telling the truth). I love fall, and I think this season makes me fall in love with my home all over again. The crisp air, beautiful leaves and feeling that autumn evokes, awakens my soul with inspiration.
Today, I am excited to be part of the 2014 Fall Tour of Homes hosted by Cherished Bliss. If you headed over from my sweet friend Danielle's home of Finding Silver Pennies, I am so happy you came my way! We live in the small town of Mumford, NY where fall is pretty glorious right now.
If you are new here…I am so happy you stopped by today! If you are returning…you know I love having you. If you can believe it, in my seven years of blogging, this is my very first fall home tour post!

Pecan Walnut Pie {with Cream Cheese}
I am joining with several other talented bloggers today for Tastes of the Seasons and am sharing a recipe that I originally blogged about way back in 2010: a pecan pie with cream cheese….mmm…so good!
I was almost going to call this post, "The Best Pecan Pie I Have Ever Had," because, seriously, it is.
In the fall of 2010 my husband and I had just moved into our first home, and I was testing out the kitchen with this recipe that I saw on an episode of Katie Brown's Workshop on PBS.

Romantic Autumn Decorating {a look back}
Those of you who have followed me for a long time know that I am a romantic at heart. And for years, "romantic" was my only style of decorating. I loved anything frilly, girly, vintage, white, and pretty. Even though my style has evolved to be more rustic, eclectic and bohemian, I still enjoy looking back at pretty vignettes from years past. Today, I am sharing some romantic fall decor with you in another installment of my {a look back} series.
First, we are heading back to 2007. Josh and I were in the process, that fall, of moving from our one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom townhouse.

Vintage Thread Ball Mini Pumpkins
I am excited to be participating with so many talented bloggers this week in the Festival of Fall hosted by The Everyday Home blog! I am sharing a super easy diy craft that you can make in an afternoon and reuse year after year: mini faux pumpkins made from vintage thread balls.
This project is so easy! All you will need are some vintage thread balls
(that you can usually find at thrift stores or antique shops), some small sticks found outside, and green sheet moss
or excelsior wood shred
(*affiliate links).

Halloween Burlap and Scrap Fabric Ghost Family
Halloween will be here before we know it. Time to get those spooky decorations out or make your own! My mom and I made this family of friendly ghosts (to replicate my husband, myself and our two little ones), in one afternoon, back in 2012. This is a no-sew project…hooray! I know how everyone loves those.
I am sharing how we did it today as part of my {a look back} series. We made these right after my son Owen was born, when I wasn't doing much blogging. I love giving you "a look back" at these projects now and hope that you enjoy them as well.

Vintage Eclectic Fall Dining Room Reveal {and some “real life” thrown in}
Today, I am sharing my dining room reveal with hints of early fall decor. I have never shared this room fully before, even though I have shared my mantel often. There are many reasons for this, but basically it's because it is a work in progress and not yet where I want it to be. Not even close.
It is a little preemptive to call this a "reveal" post, since there is still so much work to do, but I decided to take my own tagline "advice"and find beauty in the imperfections of it. I am sharing some of those imperfections throughout this post, so you can get a glimpse of real life around here.
Sometimes, I know it can feel like bloggers always have everything so "nice and neat and finished." I want to assure you…it is not the case around here. We are always a work in progress, no matter how pretty the pictures.

Rustic Fall Home Decor Inspiration: Sundays at Home No. 27 Weekly Link Party & Features
Welcome to week 27 of Sundays at Home! I love hosting this weekly link party and getting the chance to see all of your inspiring posts. Today, I have a great round-up of rustic home decor that are each so cozy and creative for autumn.
I apologize for not getting this party started earlier today. I attended a wedding with my husband (at the same church we got married in 8 years ago!) and reception where I was literally partying 🙂

DIY Embellished Fabric Pumpkins for Fall
Fall is just around the corner, so it's time to start bringing pumpkins into the house. I have an easy diy tutorial today, sharing how to make embellished fabric pumpkins that look charming and keep all throughout the season!
I recently shared some of these fabric pumpkins in my fall mantel vignette and with my followers on instagram. If you know my style, then you know I had to put my own unique spin on them with some bohemian flair.

Rustic Fall Mantel Vignette & a Free Printable
Fall is finally here! Okay, well I know not "technically", and I am still enjoying these warm summer days, but fall is absolutely my favorite time of year. I already have my rustic mantel decorated for the season – which I am sure will be redecorated several times over during the next couple of months, but here is the "early fall" version:

Rustic Bohemian Patio Makeover
Earlier this week, I shared the before and after of my porch and patio that I was able to get all spiffed up for fall. {Click here if you missed it and want to see the "Before" first} Today, I am sharing more details of the patio itself, that I decked out in rustic bohemian flair. I was kinda hating on this space before, but now I love it!

DIY Outdoor Storage Organization {Without a Garage or Shed}
This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with
Pollinate Media Group® and Rubbermaid, but all my opinions are my own. #PMedia #FallFixUp http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
One of the most difficult quirks about some older homes, is that they lack in adequate storage. Our home, is no exception, and one area where we especially struggle is outdoors. We have no garage or storage shed. We have a large covered patio at the back of the house and a smaller porch area off of the mudroom. And that's pretty much it.
Is there any hope for those of us in this situation to get our outdoor space organized?
Since we are constantly working on our home, the small porch area has sadly become a space for anything and everything. I have long wanted to create a designated trash and bottle & can storage spot, and finally decided enough was enough. With fall on the way, now was the time to do it! Cold weather will be here before we know it, so I had to take advantage of a warm summer weekend. Don't you love when you finally get the motivation to do something you have put off for years?
First, I suppose, I have to show you the porch before. But I must warn you: It. Is. Scary.
Are you ready for the truth behind this blogger's house?

Thoughts of Fall on My Mind
I don't know about you, but fall has been on my mind for awhile. It always happens once August hits: I begin dreaming of those beautiful autumn days that are on their way.
We are approaching my favorite time of year, and I can't help but get excited. I can hold off, of course, on the winter's cold for quite awhile, but oh, how I wish I could make fall stay longer.
